Daily Deviation

Given 2006-07-31
"Perhaps the only reason we never reconize the bad things until it is too late is because of the smirk they wear on their masks." In The Good Cuck, *whitlam1 captured an everyday issue of society in a drawing as surreal as cases of infidelity and betrayal can sometimes happen to be. Everybody lies, even to themselves. The masks are just our 'alibi's. But sometimes, there could be the ones, who have the ability to see through the masks... I suppose you're one of them..

Very nice work. I smiled when I read that you seem to "find" the image on the paper through trial and error, interesting way to describe it.

Beautiful. To be honest, I don't even know why I like this piece so much, It's not my favorite style of drawing ( No offense, you draw really well), and I've never been particulary interested in surrealism. But there's something about this piece that just drawns me to it, makes me want to look at it, again and again. Just beautiful.

So many people have mentioned Bosch already that I feel it would be silly for me to, but...yet I love his work, and yours is styled wonderfully reminiscent of it. Awesome job.

I love how the one mask has "horns" on it. Wonderful symbolism!

You know, its not every day you get to see a work of this calliber. The style, the subject, everything is very "old school". This is a DD WELL deserved, by far.
