After the Dam Burst by DaveWhitlam After the Dam Burst by DaveWhitlam
This picture was created shortly after I spent a week in Amsterdam (hence the title). I think that's where the cloggs came from!

Im not quite sure what you're asking? Buddha said even form is emptiness. Emptiness is everywhere. Perhaps the question should be; where from comes the solidity?

I meant the figure with a major hole in it, but I like the way you think :)

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. The hole was actually unintentional - I was removing a section of the sky on photoshop using the magic wand tool, and ended up losing some of the figure. I could have easily undone it, but decided it was more interesting with the hole (I suppose it could represent emptiness or lack of feeling). Most of my work is just a series of such unplanned accidents. As with life itself, what you end up with is never even close to what you started out to achieve.

You really made a pretty interesting effect, I just wanted to know, what it means to you :) Lack of feeling seems to be a nice interpretation.
